The Move Well Eat Well approach works with the whole early childhood service or primary school community, creating and reinforcing an environment where healthy choices are made easier for children. The aim is to help children aged 0-12 develop healthy habits for life and provide opportunities for optimal learning and development.

While many children enjoy a healthy lifestyle, there are a significant number of Tasmanian children who are missing out on the benefits of healthy eating and physical activity. From January 2012 Move Well Eat Well has been adapted for Tasmanian early childhood education and care services, in particular long day care, family day care and kindergartens.

This website is a resource for early childhood services and primary schools that are taking an organised approach using the key Move Well Eat Well messages

Currently Move Well Eat Well Member early childhood services and schools are promoting healthy eating and physical activity to over 32,000 Tasmanian children and their families.
